One of the fastest growing Energy Suppliers in the UK is looking to recruit a passionate New Business Sales Lead Specialist.  

United Gas & Power based in Leeds, has a vision of becoming the UK's most trusted energy supplier to the commercial market. Ultimately, they aim to take away the strain of energy bills so customers can concentrate on running their business whilst they take care of everything else.

Operating within a highly competitive SME sector, the focus of the role is to increase customer and site numbers to United Gas & Power. Reporting to the Sales Manager and working within a team based in Leeds to effectively drive sales via agreed sales strategies.

Responsibilities:

- Contacting new SME business customers to promote their fantastic energy packages

- Using a consultative sales approach, you will get to know your customers and understand the needs of their business

- To quote customers predominately using the company pricing systems, accurately and within set procedures.

- To build up a portfolio of customers and to manage the acquired data effectively.

- Bringing in new business whilst adding value to their existing portfolio by delivering exceptional service and competitive deals

- To achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets and Key Performance Indicators such as;

- Talk Time / Call Numbers

- Contracted Sites

- Revenue

- Utilising trusted sales techniques and an appropriate sales script to contract customers over the telephone within agreed rules

- To accurately complete all customer details & sales information to the required standard

- To adhere to the sales compliance rules always ensuring all sales are generated in line with United Gas & Power’s guidelines and quality standards

- To ensure continued self-motivation is maintained and that all Key Performance Indicators are focused on to drive quality and improvements in all aspects of the sales process

- Overall portfolio management through accurate administration.

- Handling of general client queries about their utilities, providing relevant recommendations and working on their behalf to solve issues

Qualifications / Experience Required:

-       Excellent verbal communication skills.

-       Excellent Sales and negotiation skills.

-       Good telephone manner - Can communicate effectively and professionally to all customers.

-       A logical thought process to negotiate & sell.

-       A proven track record in direct sales.

-       Excellent organisational skills to manage calls, maintain records, notes and sales pipeline

-       Ability to work on own, demonstrating drive and initiative

-       Team player, willing to share ideas and techniques with other team colleagues.

-       Minimum of 12 months’ telesales experience – we would welcome candidates from all sales backgrounds - Knowledge of the energy sector is useful but not essential

-       The ability to work as part of a team supporting colleagues where necessary.

-       The ability to be self-motivated and focused on continually achieving and exceeding targets

-       Computer literate
